Bring Your Own Charts Day - Faversham
Members are invited to bring in their own charts—handwritten is absolutely fine—but please make sure you bring enough copies for everyone in the group. We’ll spend the session playing through a selection of songs chosen by members, so if there’s something you’ve been wanting to play, this is your chance to get it on the set.
Before you come, double-check that your chart is clear and accurate. We won’t have time to correct or rewrite anything on the day—the focus is on getting straight into playing.
Drums & Bass Band Rehearsal
Full band rehearsal with drummer and bass player, working through the set for the upcoming open mic.
We will be starting at 7:15 sharp, so please make sure you are set up, tuned, and ready to play before then — not arriving at that time. We’ll be running the set from 7:15.
Come prepared, know your parts, and be ready to play through songs as a band.
Studio Day at Joplin House
Verona, Fiddling Lane, Stowting, Ashford, TN25 6AP
Studio Day is all about experiencing what it’s like to work in a professional recording studio. The focus isn’t on walking away with a polished, finished track, but on understanding how a real session runs and what’s expected of you as a musician in that environment.
We’ll explore the key elements of the studio process—recording, overdubbing, and mixing—so you can see how a track is built from the ground up. It’s a chance to get familiar with studio workflow, communication, and the level of preparation needed to make the most of your time.
We’ll be using The Thrill Is Gone as our working piece, as it’s a tune we all know, allowing us to concentrate on the process rather than learning new material.

Pilgrims Open Mic Night
A relaxed night built around playing live with other members.
The evening centres around a 2-hour full band set (with drums and bass), made up of songs we’ve been working on in Wednesday sessions. This works just like our gigs — using Gig Planner, with members putting themselves forward for songs and building the set together.
Around that, there are plenty of chances for others to play:
Between the two sets: short slots (no drums and bass) for members to play up to 3 songs
After the second set: additional slots where members can put forward songs and lead them, bringing others in to play
No solo performers and a max of 4 people per song — it’s all about playing together.
Whether you’re in the main set or just jumping up for a few songs, it’s about getting people playing, building confidence, and making it a good night of live music.
